After speaking with a friend who was the Selangor FC former player, Nikola Jambor, and head coach Christophe Gamel, Toni shared his excitement about joining the club, “I spoke with Nikola Jambor and coach Gamel before coming here. The coach shared his plans, and I believe I can bring my experience from Europe to help the team win. I will take charge more on the final touch, and it doesn’t matter who scores, we win together as a team,” said Toni.
Red Giants head coach Christophe Gamel also shared his thoughts on the signing, “We brought him in to add more experience in central midfield, an area we’ve been lacking and hit by injuries. He brings the experience needed to fill gaps in our squad and boost our strength.”
The club’s decision to sign Toni falls under the additional player registration window permitted by AFC regulations, which applies only to free agents. We completed his registration before the closing date of 31 October 2025. This ensures that the squad remains competitive and fully prepared for all fixtures.
Selangor? FC welcomed Toni to the Red Giants family with hopes that he will add more dynamic in the midfield area and make a high impact performance with the teammates. #ToniIsRed
