Nidzam Jamil will make his official debut as the team's Head Coach tonight, after being given the role earlier this year and granted the trust of being the man resposnible of handling the 2024/25 Red Giants squad.

Besides him, there will be some new #IsRed faces that will most likely make their first competitive appearance for Selangor FC tonight such as Uzbekistan national team defender, Umarbek Ehsmurodov; new striker, Ronnie Fernandez; winger, Alvin Fortes; young goalkeeper, Azim Al Amin; midfielder, Nooa Laine and Jordan national team young striker, Reziq Banihani.

Apart from the new additions, the bulk of the team still comprises mostly of the #StillRed players who fought hard to achieve success last season and will undoubtedly strive for even more this season.

According to Nidzam Jamil, Head Coach of Selangor FC, shared that the team is fully determined and has shifted their focus back to team while being confident that the players are ready, "The players and coaches have learned a lot from the team's situation this season. It's definitely not the situation we wanted but I'm glad the players can get back to focusing on the team. They are motivated and in high spirits ready to kickstart their 2024/25 Malaysia League season, "

"The character of the players on the field is my priority. It doesn't matter who our opponents are, only the attitude and character that they display, besides also getting the encouragement and guidance from the coaches, will help us get good results. I am sure we are ready to perform tonight."

As for the players update, Zikri Khalili, Raimi Shamsul and Izwan Yuslan could not be with the team against KDA tonight due to injury.

The management of Selangor FC wishes the Red Giants squad success in this new season.
